As Chancellor at Penn State Mont Alto, Dr. Francis K. Achampong is the chief executive officer and principal academic leader of the campus and is responsible for the quality of academic programs; stewardship of the teaching, research, and service mission; strategic planning; budgeting; philanthropy; faculty and staff development; recruitment and evaluation; outreach; and alumni relations. Prior to assuming his current position, Dr. Achampong served for three and a half years as chancellor of Penn State’s Fayette campus and as chief academic officer of the Mont Alto campus for the eight years preceding that. Dr. Achampong has twenty years of classroom experience as a faculty member and currently holds the rank of tenured professor of law. His research has been in risk management, insurance law, and employment law, and he is the author of a book on workplace sexual harassment. He is licensed to appear before the United States Supreme Court and is licensed to practice law in New York and Virginia.
