Senior Instructor of Art
Qually founded the studio art department and teaches studio art at Penn State Mont Alto. She is the 2005 recipient of the Martha Fisher Award for Excellence in Teaching for the campus. Qually works mostly in oil paint but also occasionally works in pastel and charcoal. Her portraits hang in such places as Gettysburg College; Adams County Courthouse; Springfield, Missouri, Public Library; and The Lincoln Room Museum in Gettysburg. For over twenty years, she has done charcoal portraits that are used as frontispieces in publications for The Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College. For exhibit, she prefers to paint landscapes and still-lifes, and her paintings can frequently be seen on exhibit in such venues as The Art Association of Harrisburg, and The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in Hagerstown, MD. She has received a number of national and regional awards.
