Penn State Mont Alto offers academically gifted students opportunities to enrich and broaden their education. The program permits exceptionally talented students to go into greater depth in given subjects, doing not more work, but a different kind of work that is developed to stimulate intellectual curiosities.
Students enrolled in this program will take a one-credit honors seminar each semester and may select from a variety of special honors courses, honors options, independent study and research programs to satisfy Penn State's general education requirements. At the beginning of each academic semester, students work closely with both an academic advisor and an honors coordinator to develop individualized academic plans.
