Mont Alto is located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania near Chambersburg, Gettysburg and Hagerstown, MD. It is within commuting distance of York (1 hour, 30 minutes); Harrisburg (1 hour, 15 minutes); Carlisle (45 minutes); Hagerstown, MD (30 minutes); and Frederick, MD (45 minutes). Baltimore and Washington, D.C. are less than 2 hours away from the campus.
The tree-lined campus consists of 93 acres and is located adjacent to the 83,000-acre Michaux State Forest.
There are three residence halls on campus which house 460 students.
The campus sponsors more than 25 student clubs including: Student Government Association, Black and Latino Association (BALA), Mont Alto Arts Project, Blue and White Society, THON, Film Club, The Fourth Wall (student newspaper) and many more organizations related to academic majors and special interests. The campus also hosts a wide variety of entertainment and co-curricular programs such as comedians, coffee houses, game shows, movie nights, dances, bowling, bingo, guest lecturers, art exhibits, cultural and performing arts events, as well as trips to destinations such as Washington D.C., Baltimore's Inner Harbor, amusement parks, and New York City.
