New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is offered at the beginning of each semester to acquaint new students with curricular- and co-curricular opportunities, and to help them set directions and strategies for achieving their educational goals. Mandatory Orientation for Fall 2011 will be held on Saturday, August 20th and Sunday, August 21st (students living on campus will move in on Friday, August 19th).  Activities offered on August 20th are critical for a student’s success.  New students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with returning students as well as faculty and staff.  Welcome Week activities will be held Sunday, August 21st through Monday, August 29th.  Students are strongly encouraged to participate in these activities as well!

First-Year Testing, Consulting, and Advising Program (FTCAP)

This program is the first stage of academic advising, providing students with an understanding of their scholastic preparation, academic abilities, and educational and professional interests, and introducing them to the academic structure and degree programs of the University.

New Student Orientation

The goal of orientation is to introduce new students to what it is like to be a student at Penn State Mont Alto. The orientation program prepares new students for the academic challenges that lie ahead and enhances their success as Penn State students. Becoming acclimated to the campus and meeting other students at Orientation will ensure a positive start to your educational pursuits.

Mandatory Orientation for Fall 2011 will be held on August 20th, 2011.  New students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with returning students as well as faculty and staff during small group sessions.
